About Philomena's Pizza
Pizzeria
Located at 41-16 Queens Blvd, Sunnyside, NY 11104, Philomena's Pizza operates as a pizza restaurant serving Sunnyside in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. The most common schedule is 12β9 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Philomena's Pizza at (718) 255-1778; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, philomenasqueens.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 675 reviews, which is a strong result for a pizza restaurant in Sunnyside and suggests consistent service.
Sunnyside is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Sunnyside follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We arrived just as they opened upon the recommendation from the YouTuber Babish. We ordered one of every slice for us to try (that is why every pizza is cut in half in the photo) and I am glad we gave this place a try. Philomena offers many solid pizza slices! I personally enjoyed the all square options, but other group favorites included the eggplant and raging bull. A quite a nice plus was that the owner so friendly and kind! Really put the cherry on top of a nice lunch

Philomena makes pizza with quality ingredients and creative styles and flavors. the picture Iβve included is of their vodka slice. Vodka sauce of course, ricotta cheese, and as for most of their non-grandma slices, they add grated Parmesan and fresh basil. As usual the crust has a great texture very fresh high-quality. Iβll say the same about the sauce. The choice of ricotta cheese had me suspicious at first. I donβt like ricotta cheese that much because it doesnβt have so much flavor. But since the vodka sauce was what was featured here in this slice, it fit very well. What I think is going on is that thereβs a lot of sauce on this on this pizza. A lot of sauce can create bitterness but the ricotta cheese blends well and allows you to enjoy the sauce and the pizza in general. So for me this is one of the only cases where I like ricotta cheese. The owner is not willing to communicate about what he doesβ heβs kind of like ricotta . but I imagine he knows what heβs doing. Pretty good pizza.

Iβve been on a pizza craze for the longest comparing the best slices in nyc and wow this place caught me off guard out of no where and is the best slice Iβve had compared to all these mainstream pizza places. The way the dough is light but crispy but also chewy is incredible then the cheese to sauce ration with the option of putting stracciatella is beyond amazing this place is my new favorite in nyc

Great flavor in all ingredients. No notes. My favorite bite surprisingly was the cherry tomato on the pesto slice. Such small attention to detail on these you can tell every ingredient was treated with care.

The new top spot in nyc for modern artisan style pizza. Iβve traveled over 10 times already in the last month to have it since discovering them. Their dough is perfect and every time I come back it reaffirms to me how incredible it is. Compared to other top spots in the city like lindustry and jonnys on orchard st, this manages to stand out amongst all of them. Consistency has been 100% every time and you can feel the love in every bite and into the dough. Honestly surreal to still find a spot that can blow me away like this, if I lived in queens this would be an everyday visit for me. If youβre lucky enough to live near please enjoy it for me. I will for sure be making a trip whenever possible. The price point for this quality of pizza is also hard to comprehend. Amazing overall, my favorite pizza Iβve ever had to be honest at the moment. The great part is, every time a new slice stands out. The onions under the sauce on the raging bull slice is genius. You can feel the passion into this pizza.
